About us
Aikanta is Ivan Avecilla's software company.
Where the name comes from
Pronounced eye-KAN-tuh — rhymes with Atlanta.
AI are Ivan Avecilla's initials — I.A. in Spanish, A.I. in English. The rest came from the sound: it's eye-KAN-tuh. In Finnish, kanta means base or foundation; we found that out afterwards and liked it, though the name comes from the initials.

Who we are
Mexico. We work with clients in Mexico and the United States.
We build mobile apps and web software for companies in any industry. Under the same roof we build our own products: SporeXpert, Availoc and a line of mobile games.
That second half is the part worth knowing. Owning products forces us to live with what an ordinary vendor delivers and leaves behind: the server that goes down, the payment that bounces, the store review, the user who writes at eleven at night. By the time we propose something to you, we've already paid for it ourselves.
- In production
SporeXpert
Mushroom growing platform: batch tracking, recipes, alerts, store and mobile app.
- Site and demos live · product in progress
Availoc
Interactive lot maps for developers. Upload the site plan and every lot becomes clickable, with status and details.
- In development
Mobile games
Six Godot projects, from an isometric builder to a mahjong with generated boards that always have a solution.
How we work
- 01
Working software first.
The first delivery is something you open and use. Documents come later, if they're needed at all.
- 02
The code is yours.
Repository and keys in your name from the start. If you ever want to change vendors, you take everything with you.
- 03
English and Spanish from the first line.
Both languages go in with the code. A hardcoded string counts as a bug.
- 04
Production gets respected.
Against a live database we run only what has a time limit and a defined scope. We learned that from a query that hung for days.
- 05
We'll tell you no.
If your project falls outside what we do, you hear it on the first call and save yourself the month.
Tell us what you need.
Write and tell us what you want to build. We'll say if we can, what it costs and how long it takes. If it falls outside what we do, we'll say that too.
